Beth practices in the area of income and business tax, estate planning, real estate law, and business law issues. She currently serves as chair of the Grand Rapids Income Tax Board of Review, and she provides pro bono legal services in the State Bar of Michigan’s Tax Pro Bono program and the Street Law Initiative. Beth teaches Scholarly Writing at Cooley Law School and works as a part-time reference librarian there. She is an honors graduate of Cooley Law School where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review and clerked for the Michigan Court of Appeals. With a bachelor’s degree in business economics, Beth brings a strong business and financial management background to the firm. Before law school, Beth was a financial analyst and accounting manager for one of the largest school districts in the nation, and she worked part-time for a national tax preparation company for several years.
Michelle currently practices in the areas of criminal defense and estate planning. She serves on the board of directors of Community Legal Services of West Michigan. Michelle is an honors graduate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She participated in Law Review and served as Vice President of the student bar association. She clerked for the Michigan Court of Appeals and Kalamazoo County Family Court. In addition, she volunteered for the Kent County Legal Assistance Center and was the administrator for the Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS). Before heading to law school, Michelle received her Bachelor's degree in computer science, managed small businesses, prepared income tax returns, processed payroll, bookkeeping, and developed websites.
